Its attraction is the cable car ride, known as the Sugar Loaf cable car. The cable car was designed in 1908 and opened in 1912, becoming the first cable car installed in the country and the third in the world.

Rio de Janeiro has several historic buildings that keep important memories from different periods in Brazil. One of these constructions is the Copacabana Fort. The Fort, located on the famous Copacabana beach, played in important historical episodes in the country, such as the Levante dos Dezoito do Forte and the Golpe de 64. The place has one of the most beautiful views of Copacabana Beach. You can walk along the wall to the top or sit on one of the many benches along the way and just enjoy the scenery.

Pedra do Arpoador is a rock formation located between Diabo and Ipanema beaches. Despite being famous for the sunset, the surroundings of Pedra do Arpoador offer several activities. Climbing the rock to simply observe the sea is something that, in itself, is very worthwhile. Also, the place is great for meditating and doing breathing exercises. The scenery seen from up there is truly jaw-dropping. In addition to the beaches of Arpoador, Ipanema and Leblon, Morro Dois Irmãos and Pedra da Gávea complete the cinema look.

Leblon Beach

Pedra Bonita is next door to Pedra da Gávea, another postcard of Rio de Janeiro, but with more difficult access and a walk of around 4 hours. Like Pedra da Gávea, Pedra Bonita is one of the many leisure areas in the Tijuca National Park, considered the largest urban forest in the world replanted by man. It is in Pedra Bonita that the Rampa do Voo Livre is located, a meeting point for lovers of paragliding and hang gliding in Rio de Janeiro.

There are just some of the wonderful sights to see, however, there are so many more things to do in the beautiful city of Rio.
